Today Dad, Grandpa, Marvin, Uncle Marv, Pop, Old Fart........(you get the picture), came through the brain surgery better than we expected. Not sure what that means other than, he didn't have to spend any time in the ICU.
They did have to take a small piece of his skull out and then replace it again. You will see by the drain tube that he is still having some small amount of blood drainage. He has been very alert and his old personality seemed to be back. His appetite has not returned yet, but we expect that to recover also. They shaved only 1/2 of his head for the surgery, it makes you wonder if they do that just to make you look silly. If we color Pops hair, he could be considered a punk rocker. I think we are going to take care of the side mow-hawk and give him the Yule Brenner look when he gets home.
Not sure how long they intend to keep him in the hospital, but the doctors first estimate was 3 days. You know Pop he just loves the hospital and it's wonderful service. I think he likes the young nurses. I could be wrong, I'm just saying, his blood pressure goes up when they come in, it's simple math 2+2 ya know. It will be nice to have this over with and get him back home and back to normal.....................what is normal in the Jorgensen family. Thanks for all your prayers. Be sure to chime in and say hi on this blog site, he will read them when he gets home. By the way if you haven't talked to him without his teeth in, you would swear he was from another country.
